WHO WE ARE

We are a group of educators who believe that ALL students have the ability to grow in their understanding and mastery of math. We also follow the research that informs us that out of all of the school-based factors, teachers are the most influential in positively impacting growth. When every student and every teacher has a voice in the classroom, children have the space to think, reason, make mistakes, collaborate and grow in their academic and social understanding of the world around them.

WHAT WE DO

We are proud to partner with schools to create sustainable academic and social growth in the mathematics classroom through in-person and virtual professional development, classroom support, coaching for coaches, content support, and mathematics instruction needs analysis. By asking curious questions and listening to students, teachers, and other stake-holders, we are able to be true partners in developing solutions that can support all students in reaching their full potential as learners.

HOW WE PARTNER

Our focus is on building relationships with district staff to increase the social and academic achievement of all students. That relationship begins with a collaborative conversation where we ask curious questions to learn about your teachers and students. After a formal partnership is created, we begin by conducting a needs based analysis that includes classroom walkthroughs as well as teacher and student surveys. We then analyze that data in partnership with school leaders to determine professional development and coaching needs that will move students to grow in their understanding of mathematics.

Needs-based Analysis

Working with Kim this year has been the most valuable professional development experience that I have been a part of. Our work targeted my specific needs and interests. Kim helped me to greatly improve my practice. Her collaborative approach makes her very comfortable to work with, especially for newer teachers or those less experienced with math instruction.
